In February 2003, RM, the leading provider of systems, software and solutions to schools across the U.K, as well as Australia and the USA opened RM Education Solutions India Private Limited at Technopark, Trivandrum.The Indian office supports RM in providing leading edge software solutions for a wide range of futuristic education related products and services.
With an initial investment of Rs 30 million, RM has ambitious growth plans in India. Operations began in June 2003 with a small team of about 50 software developers and support staff. The centre was formally inaugurated by Mr Tim Pearson, then RM Group CEO, in September 2003. Soon after starting operations, the organisation achieved ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 27001:2005 certifications; and in March 2009, attained the ISO 20000-1:2005 certification.
In February 2010, RMESI opened their new office facility at the Leela Infopark, within the Technopark campus. Chris Clements, Non-resident Managing Director of RMESI and Russell Govan, Group Director – HR, formally inaugurated the new office on the 13th floor of the Leela Infopark. In addition to the existing 23430 sq. feet of office space, the Leela office has a capacity of 229 seats and is spread across 15,000 sq. feet.
With a 10 MB IPLC to U.K and 6 MB leased Internet link, high end machines on every desk top, an advanced test lab and other state-of-the-art infrastructure, RMESI is a dream environment for innovative software professionals. The company was ranked among the top IT exporters from the state of Kerala during 2003-04.
